Oh how I’ve missed this little blog of mine. Even though it’s mainly about fitness, running and all things surrounding that, it’s like a public journal. So many things have happened since my last blog, which was about how to not gain weight with an injury. Well my foot is still healing but a thousand times better. And I did gain a few pounds but I know the reason so I’m not too stressed.
I’m working slowly on my running. Building back up to only a couple miles here and there. Man it feels incredible to run again. I love waking up at 6:00am to fit a run in. I remember when I used to hate early morning runs in my college days. That’s because I had plenty of time during the day to squeeze one in.
Time is much harder to find these days. I have started to work full time with an organization called Cascade Relays. They operate the Cascade Lakes Relay and Spokane to Sandpoint Relay. I’m in charge of communications but it doesn’t really stop there. It’s a small company, which is one reason I was drawn to it, so I wear a few more hats to my title. I’m about to head out of town for the Spokane to Sandpoint Relay. I am completely new to overnight relays, but I am also completely hooked. I can’t wait to complete one myself!
I’m going to keep this short and fill in more information once the next race is over. I’m still working with runners to help them train for their events. I don’t think I can ever give that part of my life up. I love guiding people in the right direction so they can achieve their goals, whether that’s to run a marathon or beat their best 5K time.
Some topics I’m looking forward to sharing:
My running analysis with Jay at REP Lab
My new job venture and how it turned my world upsidedown
Jason’s shoulder operation and his recovery process
Getting back to training for another race
Losing the few pounds that were gaining when I stopped running
And I’m sure I’ll think of a few more….
